Andrew F. Brenner Joins Mismi Board of Directors
NEW YORK, September 16, 2009-Mismi, Inc., an innovative ATS with portfolio-level controls that enable managers to reduce risk, trade larger blocks and control market impact, today announced that Andrew F. Brenner, the former chief executive and head of the ISE Stock Exchange, a subsidiary of the International Securities Exchange (ISE), has been elected to the board of directors of Mismi, Inc.
Sebastian Ceria, Co-Chairman of Mismi's Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Axioma, Inc., said, "We are delighted to welcome Andrew to the Mismi board and we look forward to benefiting from his counsel and his extensive trading and financial industry experience."
Brenner was responsible for all aspects of the ISE Stock Exchange, from its state-of-the-art technology to member relations. The ISE Stock Exchange, which recently merged with Direct Edge ECN, developed the first exchange-based dark pool and worked closely with the high frequency community to create a platform that accommodates all types of order flow. He has served most recently as a consultant to a premier stock and options trading firm and is advising another new dark pool platform.
A 30-year industry veteran, Mr. Brenner was Senior Vice President and Manager, Portfolio Trading and Analytics, at Fidelity Investments, where he was responsible for the first generation of algorithmic trading. He also has held senior positions in derivatives and portfolio trading at Credit Suisse First Boston, Morgan Stanley and Drexel Burnham Lambert. He is a graduate of Northwestern University.
